Shirley A. Anders

Mrs. Shirley A. Anders, 71 of Frederick, MD., died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Franklin W. Anders, Sr., her husband of over 51 years.

Born January 23, 1937 in Baltimore, MD., she was the daughter of the late William and Mabel Morningstar Grove.

Mrs. Anders loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her dogs Pebbles and Lucy. She was an avid shopper, especially yard sales.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Franklin Anders, Jr. and wife Penny of AL, Tammy Williams and husband Eric of Jefferson, Robin Anders of Frederick, Kimberly Maners of Clear Spring, Tony Anders and wife Lisa of Frederick, Bryan Anders and wife Cathy of Middletown and Shannon Nicole Harrison of Frederick, 21 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, two sisters Patsy Bowers of FL and Ruby Mills of Frederick. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by two sisters Betty Hoffman and Anna Ruth Hoffman.

Visitation: The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 30, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m., at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 1, at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. William Boucher officiating.
Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
