Shirley Smith

Shirley Marie Smith, 82, of Frederick, MD passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Raymond Earl Smith, Jr.
Born February 12, 1936 in Frederick, MD she was the daughter of the late Austin and Naomi (Wise) Shepley.
Shirley attended Frederick Church of the Brethren. She retired from Safeway after 30 years. Shirley was an avid Oriole's fan and loved to watch golf. She enjoyed the time she spent in FL during her retirement years. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children Wanda Luhn and husband Dave of Thurmont, Dennis Smith and wife Genia of Smithsburg and Duane Smith of Frederick, MD; grandchildren Scott Luhn of Mt. Airy, Bradley Luhn of Asheville, NC and Valerie Ware and husband Joe of Smithsburg; great-grandchildren Landon Ware and Veda Ware; sisters Gloria Thomas and husband Earl of Frederick and Glendoris Baker and husband Glenn of Frederick.
The family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 6-8PM where a funeral service will be held on Friday, December 21, at 1PM.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
