Shelva Kline

Shelva J. Kline, 68, of Boonsboro, passed away, surrounded by her family and into the arms of Jesus, on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Bobby Kline.

Born on December 20, 1949, in Boonsboro, she was the daughter of the late Homer L. and Geraldine Agnes (Minnick) Boyd.

She attended the Boonsboro High School. In 1985, she began income tax preparation with H&R Block for a few years then worked for Jackson Hewitt until she retired.

Shelva was a member of New Covenant Fellowship Independent Church, where she taught classes, handed out Christmas cards, was involved in church community activities and served in various functions.

She loved Sudoku puzzles, playing cards, word searches and jigsaw puzzles.

Shelva is survived by her children, Thomas E. Kline and his partner, Stacy Lewis, and their son, Isiah Lewis and Rebecca J. Brady both of Hagerstown; one grandson, Tyler L. Brady; her siblings, Ronnie L. Boyd and wife, Bonnie, of Smithsburg, Shirley A. Ernde and husband, Charles, of Boonsboro, Ruth E. Smith and husband, Robert, of Boonsboro, Nancy L. Michael and husband, Gene, of Hagerstown, Gary W. Boyd and wife, Lillian, of Hagerstown, Debbie L. Slick and husband, Bobby, of Boonsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro, Maryland.

A celebration of Shelva's life journey will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018, at New Covenant Fellowship Independent Church, 18310 Breathedsville Road, Boonsboro with Rev. Richard Rutherford, Jr. officiating.   Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery at San Mar in Boonsboro.
