Shelby Jean Gaver, 81, of Boonsboro, passed from this life on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Doey's House in Hagerstown.
Born on August 29, 1942, in Beaver Creek, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Gaither and Corrine (Draper) Dill and Jerry Dill, her step mother. In 2018, her husband of 59 years, Donald Lee Gaver, passed away.
She graduated from Boonsboro High School.
Shelby was employed by Washington County Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church at Locust Grove.
She was a Loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be sorely missed by her two sons, David Gaver of Berryville, VA, and Dale Gaver and wife, Sandy, of Boonsboro, MD; Sydney Lambert and Sara Gaver, her granddaughters; Dustin Gordon, her grandson; Rodney Dill and Mark Wilhide, her brothers; and Linda Warrenfeltz and Michelle Thompson, her sisters.
Bobby Dill, brother, preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Boonsboro Cemetery with Rev. Regina Beard officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
