Mr. Shawn Timothy Taylor, 26, of Frederick, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 3, 2012. He was the loving husband of Victoria Seal Taylor. They would have celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary on February 10, 2013.

Born January 10, 1986 in Frederick, he was the son of Timothy Peter and Tracy Hawkins Taylor of Frederick.

Shawn was a student at Mt. St. Mary's University and was to receive his bachelor's degree next week in Criminal Justice. He received his associate's degree from Frederick Community College and was a 2002 graduate of Governor Thomas Johnson High School.

In his younger years, he played baseball with the National Little League and Babe Ruth in Frederick. He also enjoyed watching the O's at Camden Yards with friends and family and later passed on this legacy by watching the Keys at the "Grove" with his wife and children.

Shawn was a wonderful and devoted father and husband. He easily made friends and never met a stranger. His friends remember him as always being kind and witty and a very giving person. He always tried to help others.

He loved all animals, especially Pit Bulls. He loved all sports, and was an avid Redskins fan. He also enjoyed collecting Sean Taylor memorabilia.

In addition to his wife and parents, Shawn is survived by his children, Isaiah and Mikayla Taylor; his sister, Brittany Taylor and her significant other, Stephen Wierzbicky, of Hagerstown and their daughter, Madelyn; two brothers, Michael Taylor and fiancé', Khali Kenefick, of Frederick, and Ryan Taylor, also of Frederick; his grandmother, Shelby Hawkins of Monrovia; two uncles, Andrew Taylor of Emmitsburg and Scott Hawkins of Monrovia; his mother-in-law, Shanda Seal of Woodbine, two brothers-in-law, Donald Watson and wife, Stacey, of West Virginia and Henry Seal of Woodbine; his sister-in-law, Angela Seal; two cousins, Katelyn and Randi; and several nieces and nephews.

He also will be remembered by many friends and extended family members. Shawn will be greatly missed.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Margaret Taylor, Kenneth Taylor, and Thomas Hawkins; his father-in-law, Mack Henry Seal, Jr.; an uncle, Mark Taylor; and an infant niece, Sabrina Parker.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Stauffer Family Services, 1201 N. Market St., Frederick, MD 21701. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 10 from the funeral home.

The family is encouraging everyone to wear burgundy and gold for the funeral in honor of Shawn's love for the Redskins.

Interment will be private.
