Mr. Shawn Michael Laudick, 22, the world suffered a great loss on Friday September 21, 2012 when our beloved Shawn Michael passed away suddenly from cardiac arrest.
Shawn was born on August 8, 1990 in Golden, Colorado and has lived in Mt. Airy since 1999. He was the son of Glen and Donna Arneson Laudick.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister and brother in law, Danielle and Michael Brandon, and his nieces, Kalleigh Peckne “Bam Bam”, Alexis and Brittany Brandon. Shawn will also be remembered by his girlfriend, Lauren Schoelen. Shawn’s vast extended family and everyone who knew him will deeply miss his illuminating smile, positive energy, and joyful presence.
Shawn worked for Run Control and was an integral part of the corporation. He graduated from Linganore High School in 2009 where he helped to lead the Lancers to the state football championship finals.
A memorial service to honor Shawn’s life will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Linganore High School, 12013 Old Annapolis Road Frederick, MD 21701. Shawn’s ashes will be spread in Breckenridge, Colorado at a later date. An avid lover of winter and snow, Shawn planned to return “home” to Colorado in the future.
