Mrs. Sharon J. Wastler, 54 of Frederick, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 17th at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of Yarnell P. Wastler.

Born in Potomac, MD on November 16, 1955, she was the daughter of Frances (Latham) Lynch of Walkersville and the late William Hartley Lynch.

Sharon graduated from Walkersville High School in 1973, during which time she excelled in public speaking for the FFA team.

Sharon's love of animals proved evident at that time, as she won numerous awards in 4-H with her beef cattle.

In recent years she was a member of Thurmont Riding Club and Maryland Draft Horse and Mule Association.

Sharon had numerous jobs and hobbies, her favorite and most recent being a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, loved her dog Buster and her horses, and always looked forward to going on RV trips; especially during Halloween. Sharon was a horse enthusiast, caring for her horses and spending many weekends with her son and granddaughter at horse shows. Sharon will be fondly remembered for
creativity and artistic ability to create amazing Halloween costumes for her family.

Besides her husband and mother, Sharon is survived by her children, Lisa Wallace and husband Douglas of Jefferson; a son, Luke Warfield at home;
grandchildren, Payton Wallace and Tyler Wallace of Jefferson; sister Debbie Harley and husband Perry of VA; three brothers, Mark Lynch of PA, Frank Lynch and wife Donna of SC and Wesley Lynch of Walkersville; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Sharon also leaves behind a special niece, Julie Palak of Frederick, her Aunt June Cole of Baltimore, and special friends Steph Marchese and Barbara Tobery-Hack.

The family would like to recognize Dr. Kanan Hudhud and his staff who had become like a second family to Sharon and them. After a 4- year battle with cancer, Sharon leaves behind a legacy to family and friends: Never give up!

Visitation: The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 21st, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD.
