Sharon Diane "Dolly" Norton

Sharon Diane “Dolly” Norton, 70, of Frederick, passed peacefully from this life on March 1, 2025, at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Ballenger Creek in Frederick.

Born on May 13, 1954, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude V. (Ford) and James E. Boyer, Sr. Sharon was the wife of Stephen Norton, her husband of 39 years.

Sharon, affectionately known to all as Dolly, graduated from Boonsboro Senior High School. She loved all music, the Ravens, daisies, and most of all she enjoyed being around people. She had several beloved pets throughout her life. Dolly will be remembered for her infectious laugh that would light up a room, a laugh that was never lost.

Surviving in addition to her husband are son Dale (Breia ), sisters Patsy Miller (Paul), Susie Hislop (Wayne), Robin Smith (Robert), brothers James “Shadow” Boyer ( Lu Ann) and Robert Boyer. She is also survived by two granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Joyce and Virginia.

Interment will be private.
