Sharon Hodgkins

Sharon K. Hodgkins, age 55, of Fairfield, Pa. passed away unexpectedly, at her home, the morning of November 3, 2017.She was born November 21, 1961 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sharon has been a resident of the Thurmont/Emmitsburg area for the last 23 years. Sharon gave birth to her son Caleb on January 17, 1986 in Midland, Michigan.She married Mark Hodgkins on June 22, 1996 at Weller United Methodist Church in Thurmont, Md.
Sharon had a great passion for life, she loved to have fun and she loved everyone she met. She enjoyed spending time with her family and with all her friends from The Palms’, The Ott House and Rube’s Crab House in Emmitsburg, Md. And we can’t forget all of her friends from the old days at Pargo’s in Frederick, Md.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Mark K. Hodgkins; her son, Caleb C. Smith; her father, John S. Brown; brothers, Ronald Fuller and wife Deborah, David Brown and wife Nancy, Rickey Fuller and wife Dorathea, and John D. Brown; sister, Jackie Longlanais; nieces, Megan Fuller, Brandi Jordan and husband Shawn, and Ashley Rippeon; nephews, Matthew Fuller and husband Matthew, Andrew Hodgkins and his Fiancé Rachel Rambler; grand nieces Aaliyah and Dazia, and grand nephew, Isaiah.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00pm to 9:00 p.m.on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 104 East Main Street Thurmont, MD 21788.
A celebration of Sharon's life journey will follow at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 9, 2017. A reception will follow. Rev. Clyde Morsberger will officiate.
