Sharon Clark

June 11, 1952 — April 1, 2022

It is with immense sadness, the family of Sharon Hicks Clark, 69 of Frederick, MD, announce her peaceful passing on Friday, April 1, 2022 after battling years of ongoing cardiac sickness at Homewood at Crumland Farms in Frederick, MD.

Clark was born on June 11, 1952 in Bessemer, Alabama and was the daughter of the late Clyde Edward Hicks, Sr. and Dorothy Lee (Carroll) Hicks.

She was a 1970 graduate of Gulfport East High School, Gulfport, Mississippi. After high school, she attended the University of Southern Mississippi and later attended Phillips College, where she earned her associates degree with highest honors.

She worked numerous years as a well-respected and passionate real estate paralegal. Sharon was a devoted mother, Grammy, sister and friend. As a result of her kind, witty and fun loving personality, she was loved by all who knew her. She was a courageous, strong woman who battled many years of health complications and uncertainties. With every battle she fought, she fought it with passion and love for her family who she fiercely loved with all of her heart. She was known to them as their Steel Magnolia. Her zest for life was visible in her charismatic smile that would light up the world. Her positive influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family, especially by her only daughter, Erica Clark Molnar and Erica's husband, Arthur Alan Molnar of Monrovia, MD. She will be tremendously missed by her three beautiful granddaughters, Audrey Clark Molnar, Alaina Caroline Molnar and Addison Claire Molnar. Sharon is also survived by her devoted sisters and brother, Sylvia (Larry) Morgan (Purvis, MS), Shelah Reeves (Ridgeland, MS), Sandra (Mike) Hammontree (Madison, MS), Sallie (Bill) Disbrow (Colverdale, CA), Serina (James) Gray (Picayune, MS) and Clyde Edward Hicks, Jr. (Hattiesburg, MS).

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD 21702.

Memorial Donations may be made to The American Heart Association.
