Mr. Scott David Peterson, 46, of Knoxville, MD died on Thursday, April 21st, 2016, at Medstar Washington Hospital Center. He was the husband of Denise (Loudan) Peterson.
Scott was born on June 7th, 1969, to Sandy Peterson and the late Donald Peterson of Menomonee Falls, WI. He graduated from Hamilton High School, Sussex, WI in 1987, and attended the University of Wisconsin from 1987 to 1992. Scott was an employee of NVR, in Thurmont for 14 years. He was a faithful member of Locust Valley Bible Church, in Middletown, MD.
Scott was a huge Green Bay Packers fan, and a football and basketball enthusiast. He loved to travel especially to the beach. He also enjoyed traveling around the country to University of Wisconsin football games (Go Badgers!). He was fun loving and always had a smile on his face and was able to find humor in every situation. The Jolly Seniors group at his church will miss him and also his lifelong friends: Chris Hutchinson, Bryan Hutchinson, and Tony Bynum.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, William Salisbury, of Knoxville; a daughter, Hannah Salisbury, of Knoxville; honorary daughters Leeann Compton, of Hematite, MO, and Jamie Salisbury, of Upperstrasburg, PA; mother-in-law Patsy Loudan, of Knoxville; sister, Teri Peterson, of Menomonee Falls, WI; nephew Derek Maxwell, of Menomonee Falls, WI; sister-in-law Teresa Justice of Frederick; brother-in-law Bobby Loudan, Jr. and wife Brenda, of Knoxville; nephews Clint Coblentz and Danny Loudan; and nieces Elaine Moricle and Rachel Ham. Scott was predeceased by his father, and father-in-law Bobby Loudan, Sr.
Visitation will be Monday, April 25th, 2016, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Avenue, Brunswick, Maryland, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 26th, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at Locust Valley Bible Church, 1323 Marker Road, Middletown, Maryland. Pastor Curvin Stambaugh will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Scott’s name to Locust Valley Bible Church Kitchen Fund.
