The beautiful spirit of Saxon Simpson passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at her home with her family. She was the wife of George L. Simpson of 41 years and the devoted mother of Christopher S. Simpson also of Frederick.
Survivors also include her mother, Iris V. Yonetz and her siblings Gerald C. Yonetz, Jr. and wife Carol, James E. Yonetz and wife Cheryl, and her sister LaVonne Y. Perine and husband Eric as well as two nieces, Karen and Sharon Yonetz.
Saxon's father, Gerald C. Yonetz, Sr. passed away in 2005 of whom she was care giver throughout his illness.
This lovely lady was also blessed by many loving hearts of friends of her son as well as her rescue cats, Tail and Tigger.
Saxon was a very creative person, always busy making quilted wall hangings or sewing outfits for her collection of model horses that she took pride in entering in Model Horse Shows where she accumulated many ribbons.
Music was a part of her soul and she could always be heard singing. Her son's band brought her great joy and she was his biggest fan, attending many of his gigs.
We will all miss her sparkling eyes, her quick smile and especially her laughs. Her devotion to family was strong and was always there when anyone needed her. A bright spirit has left us but for those who knew Saxon are brighter for having known and loved her.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at their residence, 916 Motter Avenue, on Sunday from 2 until 6 PM.
