Sarah E. Sauter Rinehart

Sarah E. Sauter Rinehart, 38, of Walkersville, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, MD.  She was the beloved wife of Kevin Rinehart.

Born on August 26, 1985, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of C. Douglas Sauter and Valerie A. (Stahler) .

Sarah graduated from Florida State University and worked as an Associate Principal Analyst at FINRA.

Sarah was known for her quick wit and sense of humor as well as her great taste in fashion and spontaneity.  She lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with her family and extensive group of lifelong friends.  But her greatest joy came from her two children whom she loved immensely.  She loved watching Cannon excel in sports and enjoyed Ripley’s singing and dancing performances.  Sarah will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those who knew her.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her son, Cannon Rinehart, and daughter, Ripley Rinehart, a brother Bo Sauter and wife, Janette, sister Katie Sutton and husband, Chaz, sister Casey Sauter and partner Andy Simmons.  She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Sawyer, Julius, Spencer, Titus, Gunner, Sterling, Aris, Beckham and Cyprus to whom she was an amazing, loving Aunt.  Grandmother, Barbara Stahler. And many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Pre-deceased grandparents, Robert Stahler, Sr., C. Douglas Sauter, Sr. and Mary Sauter. 

The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Fred), 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.

A celebration of Sarah's life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Fred).

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
