Sandra "Sandy" A. Bunker, 59, of Sharpsburg, Maryland, and formerly of Arnold, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 4, 2012, at her home, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Born on October 3, 1953, in Annapolis, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Pauline (Crider) Funkhouser.
Sandy was a 1971 graduate of Severna Park Senior High School.
She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Boonsboro, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and sang in the choir.
Sandy worked for thirty-eight years for the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Research Analyst Supervisor.
In her spare time, Sandy enjoyed scouting, camping, horseback riding, hiking, biking, and, most importantly, she loved being with her second family, her church family.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Daniel L. Bunker, of Sharpsburg; and a son, William "Billy" Bunker, also of Sharpsburg.
A Celebration of Sandy's Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Victory Baptist Church, 8014 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Edward J. Wade will officiate.
