Sandra Lee Shafer Warner

Mrs. Sandra Lee Shafer Warner, 63 of Frederick, MD., died Monday, July 23, 2007 at the Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore.

She was the wife of the late Kenneth N. Warner, who died September 20, 1994.

Born February 29, 1944 in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of Albert Vernon Shafer of Middletown and the late Georgette Elaine Linthicum Shafer Shearer and her husband George David Shearer.

Mrs. Warner was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Roman Catholic Church and the Daughters of the Americas Court #278. Also, a member of the Junior Fire Co. #2, Loyal Order of the Moose #371, and the Rainbow Belles. She recently retired, after 27 years of service, as an athletic specialist from Frederick Community College. She loved country music and had performed with the Country Wipeouts.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her son Robert Kenneth Warner, grandchildren Stephanie Marie Johnson, Nicholas Lee Johnson and Jared Michael Warner all of Frederick, her brother Albert Lynn Shafer of Middletown, cousins, Thomas Austin Linthicum of Towson, MD, with whom she grew up, her life-long friends Sandra Jeanne Shankle and Jim Lenhart, her dear friends Anne V. and Paul Dayhoff, Caroline G. Kreimer, and Mary Jane Carbaugh. She will also be remembered by Tammy Lenhart and Lori Cox of Morehead City, N.C. and Glenda Kreimer, Charlie Kreimer and adopted mom Louise Cobert Warner all of Frederick.



Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, July 26 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9:00 p.m.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 112 E. Second St., Frederick on Friday, July 27 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Keith Bolsvert as celebrant.
Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
