Sandra Marie Zimmerman Sharrer, 76, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD. Sandra was most recently a four year resident at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center, Frederick
Born on July 10, 1940, in Walkersville, MD, she was the daughter of Roger E. Zimmerman and Lillie (Poole) Zimmerman.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling to their weekend home on the Chesapeake Bay and enjoyed crabbing, shark teeth hunting and anything beach related.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard P. Zimmerman and R. Edward Zimmerman, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James "Jim" Sharrer; daughter, Brenda Yehle (Tim):son, Todd Sharrer (Cindy); grandchildren, Nicki, Ben, and Chris; She is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 3-5pm on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville MD 21793
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Stauffer Funeral Home-Walkersville. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick, MD.
