Sandra Lee Giancola

Sandra Giancola, 63, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, August 22, 2024, peacefully at her home.  

Born on September 8, 1960, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late William and Patricia Sylvis. 

She is survived by her sister, Patti Kramer, her children Joseph M. Giancola and Amanda Giancola, her husband Joseph R. Giancola. Also survived by her niece, and the family of Kimberly Catlin who were all an integral part of Sandra's life. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Sylvis.  

After raising her children, Sandra pursued her dream to become a licensed cosmetologist with her sister. Working at David's Salon in Walkersville since she moved to Frederick, she thoroughly enjoyed her career and built lasting relationships with her clientele. 

A private Celebration of Life will be held with her immediate family and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a charitable donation be made "In memory of: Sandra Giancola" to the Community Foundation of Frederick County, https://frederickcountygives.org/Giancola The Donald and Lydia Falconer Scholarship Fund provides annual scholarships to Frederick County students who are enrolled in a trade or technical school supporting students graduating from high school and adults pursuing their dream career later in life, just as Sandra did.
