Samuel {Sam} E. Widger

Mr. Samuel Sam E. Widger, 73, of Frederick, MD, died December 24, 2008 at his home. He was the husband of Sharon Baldwin Widger.
Born October 15, 1935 in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Esther Clark Widger Drayer and James Widger.
Mr. Widger served his Country in the U. S. Navy.
Sam loved spending time with his family, music and shopping.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters Melanie Klein and husband Jeffrey Klein of Urbana, MD, Robin Vechery and husband Col. James Vechery of Wichita, Kansas, and Heather Sozio and husband Michael Sozio of Orlando, Florida, grandchildren Gregory Klein and wife Amber, Ashleigh Biddinger and husband Kristofer, Taylor Vechery, Starner Vechery, Marie Vechery, Angelina Sozio and Simone Sozio and a great grandson Dalton Biddinger, a sister Patricia Lamb , two brothers Boyd Widger and Dennis Widger. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He will also be remembered by his dog Muffy.
He was preceded in death by a brother Charles Widger.

Services:
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Sunday, December 28, from 2 - 4 p.m., Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel Sunday Evening at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Watson officiating.
