Sam Hall

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Sam Hall of Crestwood Village, Frederick, Maryland on Friday, March 1, 2019. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Sam was born on April 12, 1938 in Jonesville, Virginia to parents Marvin and Flora Hall. He was raised in Lee County, Virginia until 1958, when he moved to Maryland. He married Flo Martin in 1959. Sam retired from Bechtel in 2002. He devoted his time to his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was an avid card and pool player. Sam was a member of Araby United Methodist Church and on the Board of Trustees.

He is survived by his loving wife Flo, daughter Sonja (Bobby) Mann, sons Sam (Stephenie) Hall and Marty (Carol) Hall, grandchildren Rachel (Pat) Cadden, Sara (Patrick) Riley, Johnathan Mann, Bryan and Logan Hall, and great grandchildren Riley, Sydney and Avery Cadden, and Colin Riley. He also leaves behind his loving niece Lynn Davis, and many loving brothers and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his great grandson, Gabriel Hall Riley, seven sisters, and two brothers.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Saturday, March 9, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Emtombment will take place immediately following at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Frederick.
