Mrs. Sally Ann "Faye" Spencer, 68, of Walkersville, died Monday, April 7, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of 35 years to her devoted husband, Edward E. Spencer.
Born September 18, 1945 in Dickerson, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Edna Wilhide Baugher.
Sally was owner/operator for 27 years of Drawing Board Plus, a drafting/engineering/graphic art supply store, located on East Street in Frederick. She was an accomplished artist and excelled at oil painting. She loved animals, music, dancing, and the beach. She was an over-the-top cheering fan for any sports event that she attended, whether or not they included family members. Sally looked forward to her annual trek to the beach each January to escape the winter chill. Most importantly, she loved her family, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her world.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Carl Wastler and wife, Brenda, of Frederick, and Pamela Wobbleton and husband, Steve, of Thurmont; six grandchildren, Amanda Wobbleton, Daniel Wobbleton, Brandon Wastler and girlfriend Kelsey Diamond, Dustin Wastler, Kyle Harne and girlfriend Nicole Thomas, and Laiken Courtney and husband, Michael; seven great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Kaelyn, Austin, Brinley, Bristol, Brogan, and Bryleigh; two sisters, Betty Louise Bancroft of Fairfield, PA, and Lily Pons Crebbs of Emmitsburg; one brother, Millard (Sam) Baugher, and wife, Irene, of Gettysburg, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
Sally also will be remembered by her special friend, Maureen Wathen.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Ray Baugher, Jr., Thomas Henry Baugher, Martha Hood, Catherine Morgan and Julia Mae Curry.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville, where services will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 12. Officiating will be the Rev. Janet Cregger.
Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Serving as pall bearers will be Carl Wastler, Daniel Wobbleton, Brandon Wastler, Dustin Wastler, Kyle Harne, and Michael Courtney.
Sally was a generous lady with a willingness to help others; therefore, memorial contributions should be given to a charity of one's choice or perform a random act of kindness.
