Sally Keefer

Sally Renn Keefer, 78, of Frederick, MD, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. She was born July 18, 1937 in Frederick, the daughter of A. Irvin and Elgie (Wachter) Renn. She married Dr. Garrett V. Keefer, Sr. on June 21, 1968. In addition to her loving husband, Sally is survived by two sons, Dr. Jeffrey Keefer and wife Maureen of Baltimore, MD, and Garrett Keefer, Jr. and wife Lisa of Taneytown, MD.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Anna Keefer of Baltimore, Hailey Keefer and Amanda Wagner, both of Taneytown, and Garrett Keefer III, of Frederick.

Sally was a graduate of Virginia Intermont College.  She worked as a special education teacher before becoming a full-time homemaker. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother, and devoted grandmother who absolutely loved children. She was happiest when her home was filled with her children, her grandchildren, and their friends. She was a one-of-a-kind life force who will be dearly missed by all those who loved her.
