Sally Brooks

Sally (Ford) Brooks, 88, of Rohrersville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late James F. Brooks.
Born in March of 1930, she was the daughter of the late Bentley Ford and Lillian (Gillespie) Ford. Sally worked as an accounting manager for Raleigh Haberdasher for over 25 years before becoming a "snow bird" with odd jobs along the way. She was a skilled pianist and had a passion for playing the organ as well as quilting.
Sally is survived by her children, David Eugene Edsinger, Michael Ford Edsinger, Steven Garland Edsinger and Jennifer Lynn Tygielski; grandchildren, Michael Ross Edsinger and Jennifer Nicole Hurst, Andrew Casey Timmins and Sara Marie Timmins; great grandchildren, Rori Justine Timmins and Jack Francis Timmins. She is also survived by her siblings, Margie Andrews, Cecil Harris and Jim Ford.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Ramsey.
The family will receive friends from 10-11am on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland 21713. A funeral service will begin at 11am and will be officiated by Reverend Don Stevenson. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Rohrersville.
