Ryan Lee Toms, 39, of Hagerstown passed away suddenly on April 14, 2018.
Born February 26, 1979 in Frederick, he was the son of Paul E. "Skip" and Penelope J. "Penny" (Evans) Toms of Thurmont.
Ryan was a 1997 graduate of Catoctin High School, and he worked as an electrician for many years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, drawing and spending time with his nephew, Colin. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Paula Zimmerman and husband, Mike, of Walkersville; his brother, Mark Toms and wife, Leanne, of Thurmont; a nephew, Colin; a niece, Madelyn; his grandfather, Paul Toms of Thurmont; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ryan was predeceased by his grandparents, Jean Toms of Thurmont, and Dorothy and William Evans of Hanover, PA.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Tim May officiating.
Interment will be private.
