Ruth E. Voltaggio, 89, of Walkersville, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Henry H. Voltaggio.
Born June 29, 1921, in Washington, DC. She was the daughter of the late Otis and Laurette Hullings.
Mrs. Voltaggio graduated from St. Patrick's Academy in June 1940, working various office employments until retirement in 1986. Her employment at National Geographic, Dairy Maid Dairy and the Frederick News Post were special because of the extraordinary co-workers she met and became life long friends with.
She was preceded in death by a brother Bill Hullings and a step-daughter Lois Reeves.
Surviving are two sons, Frank Voltaggio and wife Bobbie, of Ijamsville, John Voltaggio and wife Judi, of Brookeville, FL., one step-son Vic Voltaggio and wife Janet, of Spring Hill, FL., also two daughters, Mary Jo Howes and husband Robert, of Orrstown, PA. and Mary Wroble and husband Frank, of Conway, SC.
She was very proud of her grandchildren Kathy Wal and husband Mark, JR Voltaggio and wife Lea, Bryan Voltaggio and wife Jennifer, Micheal Voltaggio and wife Kari, Staci Rosenberger and husband Tim, Jessie Weissenbach and husband Karl, Robin Hardwick and husband William and Becky Wroble.
She had a special love for her great-grandchildren Ethan and Samantha Wal, Thatcher Voltaggio, Olivia and Sophia Voltaggio, Macenzie and Joseph Rosenberger, Ben and Ana Weissenbach, and Noah Hardwick.

A mass will be celebrated at St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Walkersville on Oct. 2, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at St. John's the Evangelist Catholic Church, in Silver Spring, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Voltaggio's name to the Frederick County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Program, 11515 Angleberger Rd., Thurmont, MD. or the Walkersville Food Bank, 21 W. Frederick Rd., Walkersville, MD.
