Mrs. Ruth N. Lakin, 83, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard Lakin.
Born January 5, 1929 in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Hazel Crone Draper.
Mrs. Lakin was a member of the Cavetown Church of Christ. Ruth was a graduate of Frederick High School and every year looked forward to her class reunion, this year celebrating 66 years. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Lakin is survived by her son Richard Lakin and wife Kathleen of Dundalk, MD. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Frances and her brothers Edgar, Frank, Glen and Robert Draper.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, November 23, from 3-5 and 7-9pm, where services will be held Saturday, November 24, at 11:00 am.
Interment Cavetown Church of Christ Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cavetown Church of Christ.
