Ruth Herring

Mrs. Ruth D. Herring, 93, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of the late Albert Herring.

Born August 20, 1918 in Chisholm, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Stanislaus and Jenny Ouelette Doiron.

Mrs. Herring was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking and making afghans.

She is survived by two children Terry Hongell and husband Andy of NY and Steve Herring of Frederick, two grandchildren Justin and Caitlyn Hongell,  brother and sisters Norman Doiron, Mike Doiron, Pauline Flagg and Col. Nicholas Doiron.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 26, at 1:00 pm from St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 112 E. second Street, Frederick.
Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery
