Ruth Folden

Ruth Alene Folden, 98, of Hagerstown, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Ravenwood Nursing Home. Born October 16, 1918 in Hansford, W.Va. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth A. and Ruth West Atkinson. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Ira W. Folden, Jr. in 2005 and her son, James E. Folden in 2002.
Ruth loved sewing, crocheting and reading.
Surviving are her two sons, Donald W. Folden and wife, Michele, of Hedgesville, W.Va. and Ralph A. Folden and wife, Sharon, of Myersville, Md; nine grandchildren, Pamela Holtzinger (Jeff), Donald W. Folden, Jr., Timothy Folden (Donna), William Folden (Amy), Jennifer Smith, Christine Donohue (John), Debbie Folden, Erin Neuland (Andre), Matthew Folden (Jennifer); and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 29th at the funeral home with Rev. Randy Reid officiating. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, Flintstone, Md.
