Russell Printz, III

January 21, 1963 — November 21, 2017

Mr. Russell Franklin "Russ, Bubby, Pap" Printz, III, 54 of Keedysville, died suddenly Tuesday, November 21, 2017. He was the loving husband to Barbara Printz for nearly 18 years.

Born January 21, 1963 in Hagerstown, he was the son of Betty J. (Smith) Printz of Hagerstown and the late Russell Franklin Printz, Jr.

Russ worked as a night manager at Martin's Grocery at many area stores. He began working for Martin's as a bag boy at age 16. He was an avid Orioles and Colts fan, and he enjoyed fishing. Russ loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three daughters, Sarah Printz and husband, Ben Ambos, of Keedysville;  Laura Lacy and husband, Cris Lacy, of Blue Ridge Summit, PA; and Emily Printz and significant other, Michael Kretzer; of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Kaelyn Ambos, Dexter Ambos, Ryleigh Lacy, and Logan Lacy; three sisters, Debbra Dupree and husband, David, of Harpers Ferry, WV; Betty K. Herbert of Hagerstown; and his twin sister, Samantha Cunningham and husband, Duane, of Pinesburg, MD; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins. Russ will be remembered by his former wife, Tonya DiNolfi, and her children, Hannah and Jacob.

Pap was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life service will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks those attending to please bring a new toy for the Toys for Tots donation box that will be available at the service. Russ loved children and he donated each year to this worthy cause.
