Russell Eugene "Junior" Elliott, age 74, of 12009 Greendale Dr., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.
Born April 16, 1934 in Waynesboro, PA, he was a son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Pearl Amelia Wolfe Elliott.
He had been employed at Wintermoyers Farm for 4-1/2 years, Riggs & Stiles Farm in Gaithersburg, MD, for 15-1/2 years, Farms Supply Co. in Walkersville for 13 years, Paramount Feed for 11 years and Truck Enterprise for 7 years, both in Maugansville, and Freightliner in Hagerstown for 5 years.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Lee Lloyd Elliott, whom he married Sept. 23, 1981; one daughter, Judy Elliott of Hagerstown; three sons, Gene Elliott of Hagerstown, Charles Elliott Sr. of Falling Waters, WV, and Roger Elliott of Hagerstown; two sisters, Hester Mullenkamp of Falling Waters, and Gertrude Eaton of Hagerstown; two brothers, James Elliott of Clear Spring and Marvin Elliott of Santee, Calif.; four grandchildren; one great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Russell Elliott, one sister, Dorothy Kelley, two brothers, Charles Elliott and Paul Elliott; and a granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Monday at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home in Boonsboro. The Rev. Paul Dietz will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
