Rudolf Franz Knapp

Mr. Rudolf Franz Knapp, 67, of Walkersville died on Thursday, August 16, 2007, at his residence. He was husband of Penny A. Van Ornum Knapp, his wife of 34 years.
Born on April 28, 1940, in Germany he was the son of the late Franz and Annie Hamm Knapp. He was mechanical engineer for IBM, retiring in 1995, after 26 years service; and he then went on to work Pearson Digital Learning for an additional 10 years. Rudolf was a member of the Glade Valley Lions Club. He enjoyed skiing and hiking.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 sons: Michael Knapp of Utah and Stephen Knapp of Walkersville; 2 sisters: Hanne Consee and Monika Knapp both of Germany

Services:
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM on Monday, August 20, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where a service will begin at 2:00 PM with Rev.(s) Bert Lane, Steve Humphrey and Dahl Drennings officiating.
Interment will be private.
