Ruby Bitner

Ruby C. (Myers) Bitner , 91, of Boonsboro, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home in Boonsboro.

Born on July 31, 1929, in Jefferson, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Henry Myers and Hazel Marie (Michael) Myers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd B. Bitner.

She was employed by Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home for over 30 years. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Keedysville.

Ruby loved working in her garden, yard work, canning vegetables, and loved watching humming birds from her porch.

She is survived by her children, Charlene Suffecool and husband, Douglas, Sr., and Kevin D. Palmer and wife, Lisa, all of Keedysville; her brother Floyd Henry Myers, Jr. and his family of South Carolina and Martinsburg, WV; daughter-in-law, Celia Palmer of Williamsport; grandkids, Jeremy Palmer and wife, Jana, of Williamsport, Beth Gaines of Hagerstown, Douglas Suffecool, Jr. and wife, Janine, Dustin Palmer and Amanda Palmer all of Keedysville; five great-grandkids; two great-great-grandkids; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Palmer and son, Stephen Palmer; and two grandchildren, Heather Suffecool and Wesley Palmer.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery in Keedysville with Chaplain Duane Musgrove officiating.
