Royal Hilton, Jr.

Royal Grafton Hilton, Jr., 91 of Frederick, Maryland,  passed from this life on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Country Meadows in Frederick, MD.

He was the husband of the late Mary Catherine Dudrow Hilton, his wife of 44 years.

Born on December 12, 1926  in Urbana, Maryland.  He was the son of the late  Royal G. Hilton, Sr. and Rachel Elizabeth Tabler.

After he retired as a truck driver and mechanic he enjoyed working at Gladhill Tractor where he made many friends.

Royal loved taking care of his yard, he never met a lawn mower he didn't like.  He also enjoyed NASCAR, Redskins, and spending time with his family and his three cats.

He was very proud being a 32nd degree Mason, and the oldest lifelong member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Tall Cedars of Lebanon Post #132 and Scottish Rite

of Freemasonry.

He is survived by his children, Nancy Simon Middleton and her husband George of Walkersville, David Simon and his wife Holly of West Virginia and Rebecca Simon Klipp and husband Gene of Woodsboro, Richard Hilton and Sandy Hilton.  He is also survived by 7 grandchildren,  4 great grandchildren and 1 niece.

He is predeceased by his sister, Eugenia.

A memorial celebration of Royal's life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, August 27, 2018, at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church,  3519 Urbana Pike, Urbana, MD.  Pastor Sandy Phillips will officiate.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
