Ross Joseph Stellabotte, 74, of Williamsport, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Born on September 12, 1940, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Ross and Mary (Ragetti) Stellabotte.
Ross was a 1958 graduate from Altoona High School, in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served as a Boatswain on the U.S.S. Canberra.
Ross was the owner of P & S Associates and also worked as an Estimator for First General Services of Penn-Mar, Inc., in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 74 in Altoona, and was affiliated with the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Duncansville, Pennsylvania.
Ross will be deeply missed by his entire family, who share memories of his love for fishing and spending time at his cabin on the Juniata River in Mount Union.
He is survived by his wife, Judi K. (Simpson) Stellabotte; six daughters, Dawn Brown and husband Matt, of Georgia, Lisa Reilly and Marlo Reilly, both of Altoona; Michele Foose, of Florida, Toni Mallory and husband Robert, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Roni Bane and husband William of Boonsboro, Maryland; one son, Rusty Shelow and wife Renee, of Boonsboro; one sister, Catherine Maltalski, of Altoona; sixteen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his loving and devoted pets, Bella, Bentley, and Bobbi.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Stellabotte.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Santella Funeral Home, 1106 8th Avenue, in Altoona. Rev. Roy Steward and Rev. Frank Scornaienchi will officiate.
