Rose Tippett

Mrs. Rose (Filewich) Tippett, of Mt. Airy, Maryland, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Lorien Assisted Living. She was the wife of the late Thomas Edgar Tippett, who passed away on June 20, 2006.
Born in Elrama, PA on October 8, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Michael Filewich. Mrs. Tippett was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She loved spending time with her family, especially while hosting holiday meals. She is survived by two children, Linda (Tippett) Howerton and Thomas Michael Tippett, five grandchildren, Carin (Howerton) Hawkins, Michael Howerton, Joe Howerton, Tessa Tippett, and Thomas E. Tippett II, five great-grandchildren, Kaylin, Paige and Faith Hawkins and Cole and Ben Howerton, and a sister Nancy Heaton in Florida. She was preceded in death by her brothers John and Michael Filewich and her sister Mary (Filewich) Werley.
A memorial Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 9240 Damascus Rd, Damascus, MD 20872, on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. A light reception will immediately follow the Mass.
Private interment will occur at a later date at All Souls Catholic Cemetery in Damascus, MD. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in honor of Linda Howerton to the Association of Frontotemporal Degeneration at AFTD, Radnor Station Building 2, Suite 320, 290 King of Prussia Road, Radnor, PA 19087.
