Rose Hines

Rose Marie Hines, 74, of Woodsboro, Maryland, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on September 10, 1943, Woodsboro, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Paul  Bowers and Kathleen  (Grimes) Bowers.

She was the loving wife of Thomas Hines, Sr., her husband of 57 years.

Rose was a member of the class of 1961 from Walkersville High School.

Rose took pride in everything she did, she worked at Hartz, at City Mortgage and at Trout's Market.  She was a life long member of the Woodsboro Ladies Auxiliary.  She served as past President of the Ladies Auxiliary and a chaplain of Frederick County Association Ladies Auxiliary.  She also enjoyed teaching Sunday School  at Oak Hill Church of God. Rose was also a member of Parkway Community Church.  She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Thomas Hines, Jr. and his wife Deborah, Kimberly Sue Gray and her husband Kelly, Karen Lynn Hines, Crystal Gale Perkins and her husband David; sisters, Linda, Isabelle, Vicky; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 on the way.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD 21702.

A celebration of Rose's life journey will take place at 10:00 am on Monday, July 16, 2018, at Parkway Community Church, 5665 New Design Road in Frederick, MD 21703.

Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in  Woodsboro, MD.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to Parkway Community Church.
