Rose Buppert

Mary Rosalie Buppert arrived in this world on 11/13/1917 and lived a good full Christian life.  On the morning of 8/20/2015 the angels closed her eyes to this world. They opened them to present her to the glory of the light, the home she’d been hoping and praying for, to never tire again.

Born in Baltimore, MD to Melva and Herbert Pierpoint, she was raised with three brothers, Walker, Jim and Ed. She graduated from Catonsville High School, where she excelled in basketball and won many honors. For 44 years she was the beautiful loving wife of Marvin Buppert who preceded her in death in 1982.  She is survived by her children: Carole (Pete) Kutz of Franklin, TN; Jim (Sharon) Buppert of Frederick, MD; Linda (Bob) Hardie of Germantown, MD; and Gail (Gary) Matson of Rockville, MD.  She is also survived by grandchildren: Brian Roy; Keith (Kristi) Buppert; Kerri (Trent) Pitts; Chris Buppert; and Jessica (Eric) Lewandowski, 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Frederick. There were many friends in her life.  No matter where she went she made a new friend.  She loved the Redskins, Washington Senators, and Tennessee Volunteer basketball teams.  She will be missed by family and friends, and received with open arms by of those who passed before.  She was a wonderful Mother and will be greatly missed, but heaven is now an even sweeter place.  In her words, “I’ve been blessed - God has been good to me.”

Visitation and service will be at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD.  Visitation on 8/23/15 is 3 to 5 PM, and 7 to 9 PM.  Visitation on 8/24/15 is at 11:00 AM and service at 12:00 PM.

The family would like to thank the staff at Northampton Manor for the care they gave her during her stay there.
