Rosaria Najmy

Rosaria “Rose” Najmy, age 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Buckingham’s Choice in Adamstown, MD.  Rose was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 3, 1933 to the late Angelo and Maria Mammino.  Rose married Frederick Najmy in 1959. Together, they raised their six children in Bowie, MD. Frederick passed away in 2000. Rose remained in Bowie until 2013, until  she moved to Buckingham’s Choice.
Rose is survived by 3 siblings, Paul Mammino, Jennie Asmussen, and Joseph Mammino.  She is also survived by her 6 children, Mary Danaher (Jim) of Stubenville, OH; Frederick Najmy (Dawn) of Odenton, MD; Margaret Shumate (Stephen) of Mt. Airy, MD; Johanna O’Branovich (Bob) of Frederick, MD; John Najmy (Sandy) of Riva, MD; and Theresa Curcio (Stephen) of Valrico, FL.  Additionally, she is survived by 17 grandchildren.
A viewing and Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 30 at 10:00am at St. Joseph-on-Carrollton Manor Church, 5843 Manor Woods Road, Frederick, MD.  Lunch will follow the service at Buckingham’s Choice.  Private interment services will be held at the Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery, Cheltenham at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to Care Net Pregnancy Center of Frederick.
