Mrs. Rosalie Keyser Garver, 72, of Yellow Springs, Maryland, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Austin Garver, her husband of 54 years.
Born October 16, 1941 in Yellow Springs, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Dorothy Hartsock Keyser.
Mrs. Garver was a member of Brook Hill Methodist Church and the Yellow Spring’s Lion’s Club.. She was a graduate of Frederick High School and Frederick Community College. In earlier years she was a nurse at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Rosalie was the owner of Keyser-Garver Well Drilling. She loved spending time with her family, watching sports (especially NASCAR), and going to Ocean City. At Christmas time she would enjoy filling the stockings for the Salvation Army.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Shannon Garver of Frederick and Shawn Gqrver and wife Susanne of Rocky Ridge, a granddaughter Raven Garver, a sister Judy Covell and husband Robert of Walkersville and a brother Sammy Keyser. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Tuesday, September 16, from 5:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm.
Interment will be private.
