Mr. Ronald Ray Magnus, 52, of Frederick died on Tuesday May 13, at University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore.

He was the Fiance of Sharon Kay Murphy of Frederick.

Born on October 12, 1955 in Billings, Montana he was the son of Margaret J. Ropp Magnus of Frederick and the late Raymond Leo Magnus.

Ronald was a 1973 graduate of Frederick High School. He was a member of the Redman Chippewa Tribe # 19, Moose Lodge #371, Ballenger Grange # 341 and the Frederick County Pomona Grange.

Ronald was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved the outdoors, spending time with his many friends and family. He was a draftsman/surveyor for 35 years with Ford Surveys and enjoyed 30 years in his family's kinkling and concession business, especially loved serving the many Baker Park patrons on summer weekends.

Surviving in addition to his mother and fiance are one sister, Gayla Magnus and her husband Kenneth Stockman, brother Steven Magnus and niece Stephanie Magnus, all of Middletown.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Albert and Naomi MeMom Ropp. Ronald was the primary caregiver to Memom for many, many years until her death.

Visitation: Friends may call on Friday, May 16 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Services: Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 17 at 11:00am. Interment will be private.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, The American Diabetes Association or to the charity of your choice.
