Ronald William Wilt

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald William Wilt, the son of Caroline Fahnestock Lake and William Walter Wilt; and stepson to Henry L. Lake Sr.

Ronald resided in Brunswick Maryland at the home of Henry L. Lake Jr, who was not only his brother but his best friend. Ronald passed on January 5th 2025 at the age of 72. He was born in Frederick Maryland on June 23, 1952.

Ronald was known for his positive personality, kindness, generosity, infectious laughter, and his passion for horse back riding, hunting, fishing, the Dallas Cowboys, music and John Wayne.

Ronald was proceeded in death by his mother Caroline Fahnestock Lake - March 26, 2017, his father William Walter Wilt in 1973, and his stepfather Henry L. Lake Sr. November 18, 1998.

Ronald is survived by his five children. Bonnie Wilt of Frederick, Jesse Wilt of Frederick, William (Cody) Wilt of Frederick, Mary Ingram of Thurmont, Linda Ingram of Frederick, and his previous spouse Deborah Ingram of Frederick.

Ronald is also survived by five sisters and one brother. Deloris Wilt of Washington D.C, Betty Lake of Havre de Grace, Peggy Wolfe/Terry Scarbrough of Frederick, Mary Lake of Frederick, Arttie Morgan of Ohio, and Henry L. Lake Jr./ Luann of Brunswick.

Ronald was the Grandfather to nine and Great-grandfather to one. Ronald had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and was uncle to two special nephews Bruce Lee Lake/ Samantha of Baltimore, and Richard Wolfe Jr/Jessie of Monrovia. Ronald had ten Great-nieces and nephews.

Also proceeded in death were his dearest and closest friends, Richard Wolfe Sr of Frederick, Russell Morgan of Ohio, Anthony Naylor of Frederick, Rudolph Jurricks of Frederick and David Gray of Frederick.

The family will have a going home service and celebration at a later date.
