Ronald Larry Martin

Ronald Larry Martin, 77 years old of Jefferson, Maryland, passed away on September 25, 2024. Born March 7, 1947 to Richard and Gladys Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Doris Fogle, brother-in-law Robert Fogle, and brother Richard Martin.

He is survived by his wife Sherry of 50 years and his two children. Adam Martin (Christina) of Bunker Hill, WV and Carrie Wilt (Nick) of Knoxville, MD. He was known as Pop-Pop to his grandkids, Addison Payne, Dharma Martin, Jack and Mason Wilt. He is also survived by his sister Liz (Jim) McHugh, sister-in-law Ann Martin and by many nieces and nephews.

He grew up in Wolfsville, MD and graduated from Middletown High School in 1965. He worked at the Frederick News Post for 52 years and was known for his dedication and hard work. He was a member of New Hope United Methodist church and will be missed by his church family. Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He especially loved gardening with his grandkids. He was a die hard Yankees fan and loved talking baseball. He especially valued his talks with his good friend, Daryle Reichard. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday 9/29 at 2pm at New Hope United Methodist Church, 7 South Maryland Ave. in Brunswick, MD. A service will follow at 3pm.
