Ronald Kersh

Ronald E. "Ron" Kersh, 69, of Frederick, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born on October 24, 1948, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Homer Edwin and Virginia Mae Moyer Kersh. A painter by trade, Ron worked for Montgomery County Public Schools for 32 years.
He will be remembered for his humor, singing and enjoying good times.
Surviving are three children: Shannon Stanley and husband Michael of Frederick, Keith Kersh of Frederick and Kelly Kersh Harnly and husband Graham of Lititz, PA; five grandchildren: Tori and Jenna Stanley, Alexis and Mason Harnly and Annabella Lantella; his former wife and friend, Gwynn Stone Kersh of Lancaster, PA seven brothers and sisters: Dixie Kersh, Susan Kersh, Nina Fritz, Joe Kersh, James Kersh, Paul Kersh and Mary Snyder. Ron was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alyssa Honaker and a brother, Phil Kersh.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where a celebration of Ronald's life journey will begin at 3:00 PM. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in honor of Alyssa Honaker to Congo Studios LLC, 343 Mountaineers Way, Emmitsburg, MD 21727 to benefit the movie "Heroin's Grip".
