Ronald Lee Ingram, of Sharpsburg, Maryland went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 22, 2023.
Ron was born on January 20, 1950 in Hagerstown, Maryland, to the late Thomas William Ingram, Senior and Doris Mae Sandy Ingram.
After graduating from Boonsboro High School in 1968, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Frostburg State Teachers College and then his Master’s Degree from Western Maryland College. He later earned his Doctorate of Education from the University of Maryland.
He was a teacher and administrator in the Washington County Public School system for over 30 years. He was an assistant principal at Springfield Middle School and principal at Potomac Heights, Fountain Rock, Pleasant Valley, and Smithsburg Elementary Schools. After his retirement he continued as a professor for Frostburg University as part of the Maryland program in Hagerstown.
Ron was a member of the Locust Valley Bible Church where he served many years as a teacher and elder. He was also an active charter member of the Washington County South Gideon Association, actively handing out God’s Word.
He loved spending time outside in the country with his family on their farm or fishing with his grandchildren in the waters at Lake Monticello in Palmyra, Virginia. He and Sharon enjoyed many adventures while cruising and family vacations with his siblings to Myrtle Beach.
Ron is survived by his wife Sharon Mills Ingram, who he married on August 12, 1972 and two children, daughter Laura Weddle (Jason) and son, Bradley Ingram (Dana) both of Sharpsburg; five grandchildren, Logan Weddle, Nathaniel Ingram, Andrew Ingram, Taylor Weddle and Daniel Ingram. He is also survived by his brothers Thomas Ingram Jr (Karen), Charles Ingram (Jennifer) and sister Debra Knight (Kevin).
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 2, 2023 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Bast Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike Boonsboro, Maryland 21713.
Funeral Services will be held at Locust Valley Bible Church, 1323 Marker Road, Middletown, Maryland 21769 on Monday, July 3, 2023 at 11:00am.
