Ronald Gravitt, Sr.

Mr. Ronald Gravitt, 69, of Monrovia, MD went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital with loved ones by his side. He was the loving husband of Linda Gravitt for 22 years.
Born March 1, 1942 in New Kensington, PA he was the son of the late Roscoe and Marion Smouse Gravitt.
Mr. Gravitt proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp in 1959. Ron worked as a brick layer and later went on to own his own company, Gravitt Construction. He was an avid bird hunter that also enjoyed fishing and bird watching. Once a month Ron loved getting together with his friends for poker night. He was also a former member of the Isaac Walton Gun Club.
As a loving husband, father and grandfather he is survived by his wife ,Linda, and his son Ronald "Ronnie" Lee Gravitt, Jr., and wife Lee Ann of Walkersville; step-children Christopher Zeiner and wife Chakriya of Hagerstown, Andrea Swiger and husband Casey of Mt. Airy, Alison Scott of Monrovia, Tyleen Krop and husband Richard of Monrovia, Robert Harich of Clarksburg, MD and Raenita Eulenstein and husband Ernie of AK; 13 grandchildren; brother Charles Gravitt and wife Nancy of Springdale, PA and sister Elaine DelMasso and husband Pete of South Hills, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will also be remembered by numerous special friends.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick Friday, January 27, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9PM where a funeral service will be held Saturday, January 28 at 11AM. Pastor Mike Albro will officiate.
Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
