Ronald Evancho

Mr. Ronald C. Evancho, 62, of Brunswick, MD, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Clare A. Evancho for 38 years.

Born January 31, 1948 in Wilkes Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Walter and Frances Evancho.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Mikki Collins and husband, Scott, of Portland, OR and Katie Davidson and husband Rick of Brunswick, MD. He has 3 grandchildren, Althea Collins, Vivian Collins and Meghan Davidson; brothers, Walter Evancho and wife Suzanne of Easton, PA and Bruce Evancho and wife Lynn of West Chester, PA, as well as several nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered fondly by many friends.

Mr. Evancho retired after 36 years as a cartographer for the Federal Government. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #11 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1136.

In earlier years he was the coordinator of the PVYA softball league. He also coached basketball and softball teams for several years. He enjoyed going to his summer home, at the beach in Fenwick Island, DE and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Avenue, Brunswick on Tuesday, July 27, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 28 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Richard Gray as celebrant assisted by Deacon Dan Roff.

Interment will be private

Contributions may be made in Ron's name to the Brunswick Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Co., Inc., 200 W. Potomac St., Brunswick, MD 21716
