Mrs. Romelda “Mill” M. Lawson, 90, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013. She was the wife of the late Perry E. Lawson, Sr. They were married 54 years.
Born March 14, 1923, she was the daughter of Rocco and Lilly McDonald Guariglia.
Mrs. Lawson was an “Avon Lady” for ten years and made the President’s Club. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and shopping.
She is survived by her children Perry “Jim” E. Lawson, Jr and wife Shirley, Charles E. Lawson and wife Ann, Barbara A. Lawson and husband Kenneth A. Moore, Lorraine “Lori” Hartman and husband Bob, Wanda D. Rinehart and husband James “Doc” all of Frederick and Rose Bradley and husband Rodger of Walkersville, grandchildren Debra Purdy, Perry “Jimmy”Lawson, III, Cathy Gross, Kelly Lawson, Jimmy Hoff, Karen Watkins, Evelyn Ahalt, Carolyn Shultz, Natasha Campbell, Heather Marshall, Dawn Moore, Melanie James, Tara Ketteringham, Julia Stanley, Rob Hartman, James Rinehart, Jr., Michele Romsburg, Deneen Armstrong, Jesse Ensor, Jr. and Cindy Trey, Dionna Forrest, Richard Bradley, Jessica Frances and Brad Bradley,many great grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren. Sisters Angelina Lawson and Rosa Bell and brothers Angelo Guariglia and Rocco “Shug” Guariglia, Jr. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers Oliver, Michael “Mike” and Rudolph Guariglia and a sister Adeline Cramer.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday October 18, from 5 – 8:00 pm. , where services will be held Saturday, October 19, at 10:00 am. , with Rev. Edward Hartman officiating.
Interment Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
