Mr. Roger Eugene Evy, 73 of Damascus passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Suburban Hospital. He was the loving husband of Lou A. Evy.
Born June 29, 1941 he was the son of the late John and Frances Evy.
Roger was a crane operator for over 30 years. He was an avid horseman and loved training and riding horses. Roger also loved his family and adored his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Lou, he is survived by his son Christopher Evy, daughters, Kelly Teal, Cindy Bennett, Tammy Schehl and Amanda McGannon, step daughters, Crystal Crigger and Cindy Eanes, grandchildren, Samson, Ryan, Molly, Holly, Katie, Eoin, Finn, Garrett, Makenzie and Kendra, brothers, Cork, Joe, Pat, Lee and Danny and his sisters, Gale and Peggy.
He is preceded in death by two daughters, Kimberly and Kerry Evy and a brother, Jerry Evy.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, April 24th from 6:00-9:00pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 25th at 1:00pm with Pastor Clark Baisden officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
