Mr. Rodger William Herrell, Sr, 47, of Adamstown died on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, WV.
Born on October 5, 1959, in Olney, he was the son of Alvin M. Herrell, Sr. of Culpepper, VA and Shirley A. Smith Herrell of Frederick. Mr. Herrell was groundskeeper of Bartlett Tree Service in Chevy Chase. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching football on TV. Rodger was an easy going guy who truly loved spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his parents are 2 children: Rodger W. Herrell, Jr. of Culpepper and Zerlina S. Herrell of Greencastle, PA; 4 grandchildren: Vanessa E. Mongan, Corey A. Mongan, Ryan J. Mongan and Austin W. Herrell; 6 brothers: Alvin M. Herrell, Jr., Ronald Herrell, Roy Herrell, Jonathan Herell, Thomas Herrell and Mark Herrell; a sister, Doreen Clark, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM on Friday, February 16, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Services:
Services will be held at the funeral home at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 17, with Rev. Tim May officiating.
Interment will take place in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
