Rocky Reynolds
September 18, 1978 — June 27, 2015
Rocky Ray Reynolds, Jr., 36, of Shepherdstown, WV and formerly of Mt. Airy, MD, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 27, 2015 as a result of a motorcycle accident near Sharpsburg.
Rocky was a dedicated husband and father to Kerri A. Reynolds and their son, Christian. Born on September 18, 1978 in Baltimore, MD, to Gail Ann and Rocky Ray Reynolds of Mt. Airy, he was a 1996 graduate of South Carroll High School. He was an accomplished journeyman plumber by trade and true to his drive and desire for success, started his own plumbing company, AHR Plumbing and Heating in 2014. Beloved by his family, Rocky was also a wonderful neighbor and friend to so many. Rocky was always the first to help, the first to laugh and his “magic box” grill was a legend almost as large as the man.
Since Rocky was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan, to honor that pride, the family is requesting that those in attendance at the viewing and service wear Ravens attire.
In addition to his wife, son and parents, Rocky is survived by his maternal grandmother, Doris M. Appleby of Baltimore, MD; his brother, David A. Reynolds of Mt. Airy; in laws, James B. and Mary Ann Grubbs; brothers-in-law, Eric B. Grubbs and wife, Michele of Hanover, PA and Brandon C. Grubbs of Mt. Airy; and nieces and nephew, Daisy Reynolds, Brooklyn Logsdail, Hayley Grubbs, Cody Grubbs and Rebecca Reckley.
The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Boulevard, Mt. Airy, MD.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. Michaels Poplar Springs Catholic Church, Mt. Airy, MD with Fr. Michael Ruane and Rev. Timothy Wood officiating. Burial will be in Providence Methodist Protestant Cemetery in Finksburg, MD.
Proudly serving as pallbearers are: David Reynolds, Eric and Brandon Grubbs, Robert and Jason Defibaugh and Jody Riding.
