Robert Milton {Tut} Holland

Robert Milton"Tut" Holland, 83 of Flint Hill, Frederick, died Thursday, February 11 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born January 27, 1927 in Flint Hill, Frederick County, Maryland, he was a son of the late Ervin and Catherine "Katie" Lee Holland.

He had been employed by Kettler Brothers, Co. and was a valued employee for many years. During his retirement he enjoyed working in his garden and fishing with his many friends.

"Tut" was an avid outdoorsman who took great pride in the agricultural products which were the result of his gardening expertise. The fruits of his labor, which included tomatoes, corn, and green beans, were enjoyed by family and friends.

Tutt served his country in the United States Army and was a Korean War Veteran.

He was a member of Hope Hill United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Mildred "Sissy" Weedon Holland; one daughter, Mildred "Lainie" Holland Schley of Pennsylvania; one son Robert "Bobby" Holland and wife, Debra of Frederick; four brothers-in-law: Edward "Roadie" Weedon and friend, June Leroy "Bussie" Weedon and wife, Gladys; Donald "Duckett" Weedon and wife Ann, all of Frederick, MD; and Harvey "Eddie" Weedon & wife, Arlene of York, Pa. : two sisters-in-law: Noreen Weedon and Mary Overs of Frederick, MD.;
Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Holland was preceded in death by one son, John Jimmy" Holland Weedon: four sisters, Anne Madeline Cosley, Alta Hall, Catherine Thomas, and Elva Holland: and one brother, John Holland, Jr.; and one grandson, John Weedon Jr.: brothers-in-law, James Floyd Weedon and Gene Ernest Weedon.

Visitation: Friends may call from 3 pm to 8 pm on Friday, February 19, at the Stauffer Funeral Home on Opossumtown Pike.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday.

Services: Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1pm on Saturday, February 20, 2010 with Pastor Erma Dyson officiating.

Interment will be in Hope Hill Cemetery.
